At the age of 13, Maor began crafting and selling jewellery in his seaside village, a setting that fostered his lifelong connection with the ocean and nature. As a devoted surfer, he embarked on a yearlong surf sabbatical around the world in his early twenties.

“Throughout that journey, I carried a small box of wire, stones, and charms to create bracelets for the kindred spirits I encountered along the way.”

Upon settling in Los Angeles, Maor rediscovered that cherished jewellery box, reigniting his passion for craftsmanship. He opened his flagship showroom, M. Cohen, which is frequented by stylists and stars like Messrs Johnny Depp and Gerard Butler.
