MAN OF THE MONTH: ADAM ROEBIG
Hannah and the team loved styling you and your family for your recent fabulous wedding. Tell us about that? Was she bossy? Any feedback?
I wouldn’t say bossy (she told me to say that) seriously she definitely had a vision in mind for the vibe on the day and I know she just wanted everyone who was there to have fun and not be bored !! Calexico and Calexico Man most definitely hit the elegant but casual theme – we all looked great but more importantly felt comfortable and relaxed - & as they say Happy Wife Happy Life!
Being a father of three boys what have you taught them that matters most to you?
I’m proud of my boys. They’ve all got very different characters but common morals. I think I’ve done a good job if I see that they’re thinking for themselves, owning their responsibilities and being good to their mother. What is your favourite designer at Calexico Man and why?
Just had a look through my wardrobe and I’d have to say AG for shorts and jeans, they always look good and are so comfortable. My go to are the linen shirts from Frescobol Carioca, Orlebar Brown & Frank & Eileen but honestly I can’t claim credit for any of them as I simply turn up and leave it all to the stylists at Calexico Man knowing that they’ll make me look good - all I have to do then is decide if they make me feel good – and if I do I get what I’ve been put in – easy really !
Where was your last vacation and what was the most memorable moment?
My last vacation was to Vienna, Prague , Berlin and Munich. Amazing places with so much history and beautiful architecture. I really enjoyed it all. Attending a dinner at Liechtenstein city palace in Vienna was a highlight. If there was a place, we visited that I’d love to spend more time in it was Munich - the food, the beer, the music, the atmosphere, such a great place, we had a lot of fun.
What would constitute as a perfect day for you?
We’re always up early so I think a long walk on the beach as the sun comes up followed a great coffee (Queenslanders are spoiled for great coffee spots), breakfast at a neat little out of the way place without a crowd, maybe a trip to Bunnings, I always need something to sort out that little problem that my wife has found for me and I buy tools that I might need one day 😉. Then maybe a late lunch or early dinner by ourselves or with friends and family, home by 8 at the latest, shoes off, bit of Netflix and that’s it. Simple man with simple tastes.
What’s next on your bucket list?
We love to travel so we have an extensive bucket list. Maybe South America, Machu Picchu has always been somewhere we’ve wanted to go but we loved Italy when we visited last year and there’s so much more we’d love to see and do there – the world’s our oyster and we only live once so we’ll be off again soon for sure.
